Project Management Director

Remote (EMEA) | Full-time | Multi-country delivery

We are seeking a highly organized, versatile, and proactive Project Management Director to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) and lead the assigned portfolio through its full project lifecycle. In this role, you will be the critical link between strategy and execution, translating project scope into successful delivery across our project portfolio and project management team.

You will champion our project management methodologies, set the pace and standard for the wider team, and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder challenges with diplomacy, sharp problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects and programs, from strategic scoping through execution and close-out.
  • Act as the primary point of coordination between strategy, delivery teams, and senior client stakeholders.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve project management governance, templates, cadence, and reporting — building/enhancing delivery structure, rather than administering an already-mature PMO.
  • Mentor, support and nurture the wider PM and consulting teams.
  • Embed AI tools, agents, and automation into day-to-day delivery workflows to increase efficiency, and track and report the resulting time savings.
  • Manage multiple concurrent, billable, client-facing engagements with senior external stakeholders across markets.
  • Set standards and pace for the broader project management team, providing hands-on guidance and mentorship.
  • Operate effectively across a distributed, multi-country, multi-time-zone delivery organization.
  • Produce delivery analytics and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making across the PMO.

Required qualifications:

  • AI-native delivery practice. Demonstrated experience redesigning your own project workflow using AI — agents, automation, LLM-based tooling — with tangible artifacts and measurable time savings to show for it. General familiarity with AI tools is not sufficient.
  • Proven experience building or transforming a delivery function. Hands-on experience creating governance, templates, cadence, and reporting from scratch. Experience limited to administering an already-established PMO does not meet this requirement.
  • Client-facing consulting delivery experience. A track record managing billable, concurrent, multi-client programs with senior external stakeholders.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and English. This is a genuine business requirement — not a preference — given client work conducted in Spanish, our Valencia hub, and ongoing activity across the LatAm market.
  • 5–10 years of project or program management experience with a demonstrated trajectory of increasing ownership and scope (for example, progressing from coordinator to program owner within a few years), rather than an extended period in a single, static senior PM role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Hyperscaler partner programme experience. Familiarity with co-sell motions, MDF, and partner competency and tier attainment; AWS experience preferred.
  • Education or public-sector domain experience. Prior exposure to the education or public-sector consulting space.
  • General cloud fluency, AWS preferred. Sufficient to hold a credible conversation with our cloud practice and help scope cloud-related delivery.
  • Multi-country, distributed delivery experience. EDT&Partners currently operates across 21+ countries and 14 time zones from a fully remote model.
  • Delivery analytics and dashboarding experience. Comfort building and using delivery metrics and dashboards to support data-driven program management.
